Hey there internet. The SAT is a daunting exam. Also, colleges won't be impressed if they see you've taken the SAT three or four times without any meaningful improvement in your scores. At that point, taking the SAT a second or third time may seem like a good idea. Title. Now I'm wondering if I should do the May Sat because I will be having my IB1 exams in June and I need to score well for my predicted. I did put in time into studying between tests but not as much as I'd like because I was more preoccupied with school work. That means that if you get accepted to Stanford afterwards, you can't go.

,I agree with everybody on here. Also I wouldn't apply to Stanford or Penn just to see if you can get in, unless you have a hook, those are lottery odds. Yeah, I haven't done anything extraordinary but I'd say my other aspects are pretty up to par - good ECs and leadership, challenging classes, high GPA, and hopefully I'll be able to write a kickass essay haha

I personally don't see the value in taking it so many times that you just burn out on it, but I know of many students who would take it a third time after working at preparing.
